General Responsibilities

The Franchise Pricing Manager is responsible for developing and achieving the revenue objectives of the Drivalia Franchise mobility stores across the UK. The Pricing Manager will have a strong background in pricing within the car rental industry, with the ability to drive revenue growth, optimize pricing models, and ensure competitive positioning across our franchise network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the rates within the Drivalia Franchise locations and develop/implement pricing strategies tailored to individual franchise locations, considering local market conditions, demand, competition, and stock levels/vehicle utilisation.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to understand pricing trends, competitor pricing, and market demand, maintaining competitive pricing structures to increase revenue and market share. Research and monitor competitors pricing and products using AI and recognised pricing systems.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams to align pricing strategies with promotional campaigns, sales initiatives, and fleet management.
  • Work closely with the National Franchise Manager & Business Development Manager to optimise pricing and increase revenue aligned with overall business goals.
  • Serve as the central point in the franchise team for all pricing, revenue matters and training, while resolving pricing issues with Franchisees promptly.
  • Coach and mentor Franchisees to become independent in managing day-to-day pricing activity within their locations.
  • Work with Product and Services Manager to develop promotional or corporate opportunities within Franchise locations.
  • Develop close, trusted and effective working relationships with all franchisees and uphold corporate brand values.
  • Prepare regular reports on pricing effectiveness, revenue performance, and market trends for senior management.
  • Act as Project Manager for key pricing projects and scout for tools to automate/enhance/optimise pricing strategies.
  • Work closely with local and HQ management teams to deliver new developments and ensure project prioritisation.
  • Update and develop policies and procedures to address gaps from recent audits and other activities.

Educational Background and Experience

  • Preferably educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Extensive and demonstrative experience in car rental/mobility and pricing
  • Experience in Revenue Development and executing pricing strategies that drive revenue growth
  • Experience working with franchise business models is considered a plus

Knowledge Requirements

  • Ability to work on both conceptual and pragmatic levels with results orientation
  • Strong understanding of the industry, fundamental business principles, and business drivers
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Understanding of business process analysis and reporting principles

Skills Required

  • Strong ability and eagerness to be closely involved with businesses and contribute to success
  • Efficiency in working within a global business culture and international matrix organization
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and networking abilities
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with confidence in presenting data to Senior Management
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and computer literacy
  • Experience with Car Rental pricing systems and revenue analysis
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness, maturity, and analytical capabilities
  • Comfort in managing within a matrix organization
  • Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Adaptability to rapidly changing environments
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Valid full driving licence (essential for extensive country-wide travel)

2. Branch Managers

Full time positions working 48 hours per week including weekends. The role will ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the branch, leading the team and liaising with your regional manager and head office.

  • You will be responsible for meeting the branch KPI’s and targets by managing your team of rental sales agents and valeters.
  • Your rental sales agents will deal with public and corporate clients both on the phone and in person.
  • Your vehicle valeting ensuring the vehicles are prepared and available for rental.
  • You will be supporting them on day to day operation by preparing daily reports, staff rota management and stock allocation and arranging vehicle maintenance and dealing with customer queries.

3. Rental Sales Agents

Full time positions (48 hours per week) and zero hours available. The role will be to assist the branch manager with the smooth day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring all our customers receive a fantastic experience.

  • Sell optional products for meeting customer wants and needs, and checking customer rental parameters for ensuring understanding of rates and service charges.
  • Dealing with the general public and corporate clients on the phone and in person.
  • Taking bookings, processing paperwork and payments and explaining terms and conditions to customers.
  • Resolving problems and delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Selling additional extras such as upgrades, additional protection, baby seats, additional driver cover, and luxury features etc.
